Ablaze with colour, wildflower meadows hum with life. A rich diversity of flowers and grasses supports hosts of pollinating insects - bees, butterflies, beetles - which in turn sustain mammals and birds. Dense root systems stabilise the soil, itself alive with invertebrates and fungi, mitigating flooding. Grasslands and meadows are not only beautiful, they’re invaluable, storing carbon and reduce greenhouse gases.

The Reids are celebrating the farmers who protect our remaining traditional meadows. With so many lost to ploughing or development, nurturing these irreplaceable habitats for future generations supports the very produce – fresh and vibrant - which the deli depends on.
